In the next few years, socially responsible investing, an investment process that takes into account not only the traditional financial criteria but also other social, ethical and environmental criteria, will affect the financial industry significantly and experience strong growth.
As an asset manager and partner of various internationally operating non-profit organizations, Arminius Private Wealth Management AG is aware of the various global problems. Hence, various sustainability criteria are taken into account when deciding the allocation of assets. During this process we use negative screening to exclude direct investments in companies that are active in the areas of, for example, gambling, alcohol, arms, etc.
Additionally, we offer individual asset investment concepts in the area of socially responsible investing for our private and institutional clients. The aim here is to use the investment to support various causes, tackle global problems such as climate change, and to simultaneously achieve asset growth. Along with the comprehensive negative screenings already mentioned, a positive screening also takes place, which will lead to a decision as to the concrete investment. Depending on individual interests, the investment could focus on topics such as micro-finance, renewable energy, energy efficiency or the sustainable development of a specific region, such as Africa.
Our approach here is not a fundamental one, rather a financial economic approach based on the concept of ‘go green and make money at the same time’ - investments are only made when they also make financial sense.
